Fonds consists of records of the Taylor and Pierce families. The fonds has been divided into three sousfonds according to the three dominant creators: L.D. Taylor sousfonds (1873-1946), Ted Taylor sousfonds (1919-1959), and the O.J. Pierce (1831 -1939) sousfonds. The fonds includes records relating to the professional activities of family members, including L.D. Taylor's mayoral career and newspaper and mining business interests; Ted Taylor's career as a journalist and Hollywood press agent; Ken Taylor's career as a journalist and his service in the Second World War; and O.J. Pierce's career as an architect and his American Civil War service. Records also document the relationships between family members, their financial affairs and property ownership, education, and activities in general. Records documenting the civic administration and development of Vancouver, 1896 to 1946, may be found in the L.D. Taylor sousfonds and in the Correspondence series of the Ted Taylor and Osborne J. Pierce sousfonds. Some records in the Ted Taylor sousfonds pertain to Mary Louise Taylor, and the Pierce, Beaton and Werbel families. The O.J. Pierce sousfonds includes some records created by Annie, Winifred and Caroline Pierce. The fonds consists of 65 diaries written by Neil Gilchrist from 1910-1975. Neil was 16 in 1910 and wrote an entry every day until he died in 1975. There are two diaries for the year 1918 and includes time he spent in the army. The entries reflect Neil's personal and business life while living in Vancouver. The first half of the diaries include his will. Most of the latter half include a retrospect of the year. Some diaries include a "forward glance" for the upcoming year. The majority of the diaries, especially the later ones, include his cash accounts and balances.

The fonds also includes correspondence, 1910-1942, and other textual records related to the School of Ophthalmology and Optometry in Los Angeles, as well as a photographs, 1886-1924, showing family, friends, scenes around Vancouver and British Columbia as well as a travel album from around the world.

Minutes of Coalition meetings that occurred mostly monthly with a few special meetings from 1977-2006. There are minutes of the Vancouver International Airport Authority at which various Coalition members were attendees. YVR Environmental Advisory Committee minutes from 2005 are also included. Newspaper clippings, publications, pamphlets and notes are grouped into topics of interest generally around an environmental or wildlife issue within the Fraser River area including the Delta Port Expansion, UBC Pacific Spirit Park cliff erosion management planning and environmental assessments both provincially and nationally. Funding applications including the Vancity Community Partnership Program Form which funded the Fraser River Coalition Pamphlet series in 2003. These ten pamphlets describe and educate on areas of concern within the Fraser River. Fonds contains records documenting the planning and execution of the 2010 winter games. Records are related to the following functions and activities:

General administration and governance of VANOC, including finances, human resources, legal services, and meetings of VANOC's Board and committees.

Establishing requirements and designs for sporting and non-sporting venues, overseeing construction and of new venues and modification of existing venues for the games.

Providing required sporting infrastructure, including timing and scoring, information and communications systems, medical services, anti-doping testing and accreditation.

Recruiting and coordinating volunteers

Generating revenue through corporate sponsorships, licensing, merchandising, and event ticketing. Managing relations with sponsors and partner organizations, and monitoring for infringements of copyrights, trademarks, and other exclusive commercial rights.

Marketing and communications to establish to establish the overall "look and feel" of the games, manage relations with broadcasters, media, and the press, and the planning and execution of non-sporting events, including ceremonies, the Torch Relay, and the Cultural Olympiad programme.

Overseeing relations with partner governments (federal, provincial, municipal and First-Nations ) and National Olympic and Paralympic Committees.

Providing support services, including transportation, accommodations, food and beverages, cleaning, security, snow removal and similar services.

Fonds consists of photographs taken by Reksten of Vancouver. In addition to city views of Vancouver his subjects include the Pacific Nation Exhibition (PNE) and Expo 86. Photographs are arranged into two series by photograph subject, the Vancouver series and the Expo 86 series.
