L.D.T [L.D. Taylor - 1936-1937: Election and New Deal]

File consists of correspondence between Ted and L.D. Taylor, newspapers and newspaper articles. Correspondence relates to the establishment of L.D.'s "The New Deal" publication in 1937 and includes copies of articles written by Ted for publication in the paper. The file also contains "The New Deal" Vol. 1, Nos. 4 and 5 and newspaper articles concerning L.D.'s candidacy for mayor in 1936 and his birthday in 1937.

L.D.T. [L.D. Taylor - death and funeral]

File consists of correspondence, photographs, notes, lists, inventories, and financial and other records pertaining to the death of L.D. Taylor, his funeral and the settlement of his estate. File includes two photographs of the funeral and two letters from Vancouver City Archivist J.S. Matthews. One letter concerns the naming of "Taylor Manor" in honour of L.D., and the other letter describes the turnout for L.D.'s funeral procession, Matthew's memories of L.D. and his selection of a cigar and L.D.'s chair for the Archives. Also included in the file is correspondence from Ted Taylor to Edith Baker concerning L.D.'s funeral and burial, and correspondence with Ken and various companies pertaining to the settlement of L.D.'s estate and the shipping of items to the U.S. The file also contains Ted's notes concerning the births, deaths and final resting places of immediate relatives in the Taylor and Pierce families, and a death claim statement listing details of L.D.'s health.

File consists of various newspaper clippings and articles, dating from 1910 to 1946, pertaining to L.D. Taylor, an article by L.D. titled "Vancouver, B.C., Best Bet of Two Continents," correspondence between L.D. and Ted Taylor, L.D. biographical notes by Ted, an invitation to the official opening and dedication of the Vancouver Airport in 1931 and a photograph, possibly taken inside a church.

File consists of Ted Taylor correspondence, programs, cards, receipts, and a photograph. File contains correspondence with L.D. Taylor, including a poem by L.D. and letters in which L.D. discusses his desire to run in the 1938 Vancouver mayoral election and his subsequent loss. File also includes a Los Angeles Newspaper Guild notice and cards from Sophie Tucker and Marge Decker.

Item is a volume of bound Cariboo Sentinel newspapers, dating from between January 11, 1873 to October 30, 1875. Inscriptions on the front end papers read "Property of Mrs. Louis D. Taylor" and "Alice H. Taylor."

File consists of photographs taken during Taylor's world tour, and includes photographs taken in Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Manila, India and Victoria B.C. There are notations by Taylor on the verso of a few prints, but the majority of images are unidentified.

File consists of photographs taken during L.D. Taylor's world tour in 1929. Includes photographs taken in Columbo, Sri Lanka; Penang, Malaysia; Singapore; and Manila, Philippines. Photograph subjects include L.D., harbours, ships, laborers, buildings, local people and fellow tourists.

File consists of photographs, cards, certificate, newsletters, programs, notes and other material relating to Ted Taylor and members of his family. File contains a photograph, programs and other material relating to Ted Taylor's school activities in 1913 and 1914, a photograph of Mary and Octavia Beaton in 1913, a 1925 photograph of Ted and seven photographs of Mary Louise Taylor taken in 1926. File also includes incoming correspondence of Caroline Little Pierce, five issues of Ken Taylor's "The Weakly Indigestion," reporting on family activities and other items of interest, and a certificate of business for the L.A. Press Service.

File consists of photographs, correspondence, newsletters and notes pertaining mainly to the personal and professional activities of Ted Taylor. File contains thirty-one images of Ted Taylor and his friends, mainly at the beach (CVA 1477-1130 to CVA 1477-1161), and twenty-six images taken at Metro Pictures Corporation studios (CVA 1477-1068, CVA 1477-1114 to 1129, CVA 1477-1357 to CVA 1477-1365). These include photographs of sets, actors, and directors, including photographs of Ted, Emmy Wehlen, Herbert Blache, Henry Otto, John H. Ince, Viola Dana and Ormer Locklear and photographs taken during the filming of "Fools and Their Money" and "A Favor to a Friend."
Also included in the file is Ted's personal and professional correspondence. Includes correspondence with Olga Petrova, and with Metro Pictures Corporations's Director of Publicity and Advertising, pertaining to Ted's activities as News Director and his suggested improvements for the News Department. File also contains an account by Ted of his work at Metro, two issues of "The Daily Gobble" by Kenneth Taylor and a small amount of correspondence of Annie Louise Taylor and Caroline Little Pierce (incoming only).

Includes Ted's correspondence with Annie Louise Taylor, Caroline Little Pierce, as well as letters from Edith Baker to Annie, and Ken Taylor and Annie to Caroline. Personal correspondents of Ted include Caroline Little Pierce, Annie Louise Taylor, Ruth Wing and various friends. Professional correspondence relates to his position as Motion Picture Editor at the "Los Angeles Record." It includes correspondence with colleagues at various Hollywood studios and publications and the following individuals: Fanchon Royer, Ferdinand Earle, Jack Jungmeyer, James Young, Edith Millicent Ryan, Lillian Leighton, Howard Strickling, Carl Miller, Tamar Lane, George Landy, and Guy Bates Post. The file also includes correspondence pertaining to the Western Association of Motion Picture Advertisers (WAMPAS), an invitation to wedding of Colleen Moore to John Emmett McCormick, a document pertaining to Ted's legal action against The Rubaiyat, Inc., a copy of "F.B.O. News," and newspaper clippings concerning Ted Taylor, Ruth Wing and Marianne Wing. Includes Ted's correspondence with Annie Louise Taylor, L.D. Taylor, Ken Taylor, Caroline Little Pierce, Octavia Beaton, George Beaton, Ruth Wing, and various friends and colleagues, including Howard Strickling and Harry Rapf. Correspondence with L.D. discusses Ted and Ken's employment activities, L.D.'s activities as Mayor of Vancouver, the upcoming civic election and the growth of the city. Ruth Wing's letters to Ted describes current items of interest in Hollywood and the release of Ferdinand Earle's movie "A Lover's Oath" (The Rubaiyat).
