Item is an audio reel containing a recording of a radio broadcast reporting the live arrival of the film "A Queen is Crowned" at Vancouver. The film was a theatrical documentary showing the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II, to be shown at both the Vogue and Plaza theatres. Commentator Bob Fortune takes listeners through the arrival of the film at the airport; to the J. Arthur Rank offices for film assembly; then to the Vogue Theatre for beginning of showing.

The sponsor was Philco Radio and Television Corp. and the broadcaster was the American Broadcasting Company. BC Archives created recording by copying Parts 1, 2 and 3 from two original audio discs.
