Item is a map of the Town of Granville, Burrard Inlet, B.C., including the area north of Hastings Street between Cambie and Carrall streets, including lots designated for what became fill lands north of Water Street. Crown grants and government reserve lots are noted. This map is appears to be a copy made from the tracing MAP 978. Note that map is oriented to the south.

The map shows the city of Vancouver in 1886. The map displays the CPR Railway tracks throughout Vancouver. The bodies of water - False Creek, Burrard Inlet, and Coal Harbour - are emphasized with approximately 5cm of blue pencil outlining the bodies of water. Additionally, streets, parks, and residential lots are also depicted.
The Northernmost point on the map is the Indian Reserve and the intersection of Capilano River and the First Narrows river, and the Southernmost point is the Due West City Boundary (listed at N 89 05 W). The Easternmost is the City Boundary for the townside of Hastings (listed at 55? E) and the Westernmost road on the map is Campbell Street.
A detailed compass, in the middle of the map, shows Astronomic North.

The map of Vancouver shows streets, bus routes, railways, and postal block numbers. The map?s buildings are quite detailed, and it includes depictions of fire halls, libraries, hospitals, and schools. Red and green annotations show the divisional boundaries of wards and polling stations. One mile circles radiate from City Hall. A Street Index appears at the bottom of the map, and this gives the coordinates of different roads.

The westernmost identifiable point on the map is Marine Drive and the easternmost road is Boundary Road while the northernmost is Stanley Park, and the southernmost is Sea Island and Lulu Island.

Item is a map of the Lower Mainland from the City of Vancouver east to Port Coquitlam, including the North Shore municipalities, Vancouver, Burnaby, New Westminster, the western portion of Port Coquitlam, Richmond, and the northern portion of Surrey. The pictorial map is in the form of an oblique aerial view oriented to the E/NE.

City-owned lands-False Creek

Item is a map showing the location of City-owned properties around the perimeter of the western half of False Creek, west of the Connaught Bridge (Cambie Street Bridge) as of Nov. 1969. City-owned lots are outlined in coloured pencil. Notations are also included on land usage, ownership and land transfers os some south shore properties not owned by the City.

Annotations have been made on a part of a copy of a base map originally created to show land transfers between the C.P.R and the Government of British Columbia.

Item is a printed map of greater Vancouver which has been used as a base map. The base map is the 1924 version of the Commercial Map of Greater Vancouver and District. On this copy has been drawn the boundaries of districts, numbered 1-12; inside the drawn boundaries are each district's area in acrea, population and assessed value of property. While the base map is of the pre-amalgamation municipalities, the assessment districts (?) cover the entire post-amalgamation extent of Vancouver.

False Creek, Vancouver, B.C.

Item is a map showing street names and major landmarks around False Creek during Expo 86. Major pavilions on the fair site are labeled. An index map in the lower right-hand corner of the map shows the location of the primary map in relation to the rest of Greater Vancouver and the United States. The map also includes a short chronology of the history of False Creek and Granville Island. The cover of the envelope depicts a smaller version of the map.

Map is a plan of the Kitsilano Point area showing the area currently known as Kitsilano Beach and Vanier Park, and streets and blocks between Maple Street and Centre Street (Granville Street) and First Avenue to Third Avenue. The plan shows in detail the land designated as the Kitsilano Indian Reserve, including the original reserve as constituted prior to Confederation, the addition made by the Joint Commission on 15th June 1877, and land leased to Harrison Mills T. and T. Co. Map also shows the location of Canadian Pacific Railway land, the Vancouver and Lulu Island Railroad, Rat Portage Lumber Company, Tait's Mill, the Third Avenue Bridge and bathing beach. Annotations in ink indicate the location of Sam Greer's house and garden and nearby spring on what is now known as Kitsilano Beach. A note made on the front of the map by J.S. Matthews in 1930 reads "This blueprint was given me about 1928 by Mrs. J.Z. Hall, dau[ghter] of Sam Greer, and had evidently been attached to a letter from Hon. H.H. Stevens, M.P. to Mr. Greer, dated Ottawa, May 15, 1923 with enclosure from Dr. Scott Indian Office, Ottawa, 9th May 1923. The notation "House" and "Garden" were, when first received by me, on pencil, rudely written, perhaps by Mr. Greer himself (quite and most likely). The marks were inked in with Indian ink by me."

Item is a map made up of a collage of aerial photogrpahs showing the greater Vancouver area bounded approximately by the North Shore Mountains in the north, the Gulf of Georgia in the west, the Burnaby-Coquitlam border in the east, and the Fraser River and parts of Surrey and Lulu Island (Richmond) in the south. Neither the photograph or who was responsible for the composite is identified.

Item is a heavily-amended copy of a map illustrating intended land settlement and subdivision in 1877 in the future sites of Vancouver, Burnaby and the North Shore, from an area bordering on English Bay to an area bordering on North Arm. Also shown are bodies of water, Hastings & Granville Road, and the settlements of Hastings and Granville. Annotations by J.S. Matthews in 1954 made on the copy are tracings in white pen and darkening the background to improve the copy.
