Fonds consists of a letter of recommendation for James Ernest Costain and a bound record book relating to the Dundas Methodist Church Sunday School. The record book also has entries relating to the Hastings Sunday School and Methodist Church.
Fonds contains legal records pertaining to land purchased by Andrew Anderson in 1890 and sold to Fred Thurston in 1909. Fonds also includes a property tax assessment for the land for 1910. The land involved was D.L. 301, block 80, lots 16 and 17, located at the junction of New Westminster Road (now Kingsway), St. Catherine's Street and 18th Avenue.
The fonds consists of architectural drawings, photographs and textual materials related to the partnership's activities surrounding the design and implementation of architectural projects. The majority of the records are graphical in nature. Architectural drawing files specific to a particular project typically contain elevation and perspective drawings related to the design of an initial concept and proposal for the project, incorporations of revisions into the initial concept based on the clients input and practical considerations, detailed plans intended to guide construction work, and annotations and alterations to those plans made during construction. Some of the projects (approximately 1 in 10) did not receive approval to proceede, and contain material relating only to the initial proposal. Project photographs include pre-construction photos taken of the construction site used to assist in the initial planning, progress photographs used in the supervision of construction, as documentation of the techniques and practices used during construction and for reference purposes, and post construction photographs used to document the finished appearance of a project. Photographs were also incorporated into promotional material, as collections of albums shown to prospective clients, and in promotional publications.
The majority of the records relate to projects in the greater Vancouver area. Approximately 100 projects were undertaken on Vancouver Island, primarially in the Victoria region, but also in Duncan, Ladysmith, and Nanaimo.There are also records related to hospital projects in the Fraser Valley, several residences in the Okanagan, as well as two hospital projects in Lethbridge Alta.
Projects initiated between 1919 and 1966 were numbered sequentially as job no. 1 through 1047. Jobs located in Victoria (B.C.) worked on between 1929 and ca. 1932 were numbered sequentially as job no. V-1 through V-14. Two jobs done in Penticton (B.C.) in 1936 are numbered sequentially as job nos. M-1 and M-2. Begining in 1967, projects were assigned a 5 digit job number; the first 2 digits of the job number were the last 2 digits of the calendar year, followed by a hyphen and a 3 digit number (e.g. 67-014). Where known, job nos. have been incorporated into titles at the file and item levels.

The fonds includes two typed copies of letters written by W.F. Salsbury [Jr.?] to his wife Sarah describing his experiences on the first train to cross Canada from Montreal to Port Moody; letters to Frederick Salsbury; records pertaining to W.F. Salsbury's appointment as a Justice of the Peace; Masonic certificates; and a scrapbook of letters, invitations and other material relating to the Canadian rowing crew sent to the 1924 Olympic Games (Paris).
Fonds contains records pertaining to the Women's Ambulance Corps, including photographs, issues of the Corps' newsletter, newsclippings and a WAC broach. Fonds also includes an album of photographs taken on a trail ride to Tweedsmuir Park in 1938, two photographs of Stanley Park (1921), biographical information on Amy Leigh, and other materials.

Fonds consists of a photograph, research notes, a resume, and a biography of sculptor Chung Hung. Brissenden was hired to produce a profile of sculptor Chung Hung. Chung was born in Canton in 1946 and arrived in Canada in 1969. He created several major works in Vancouver. He passed away in 1993.

The fonds consists of an issue of the Vancouver Advertiser, v. 1 no. 51 (3 Nov. 1886) and 11 architectural plans relating to a proposed seaplane base at Jericho Beach Air Station. Keith Winterbottom may have participated in the development of the architectural drawings.
Fonds consists of correspondence, dock construction contracts, insurance documents, tenders and proposals, reports of various kinds (e.g. tide details), lumber specifications, publications, and architectural drawings relating to the operations of the Robin Hood Mills, and the construction and operation of the Terminal Dock and Warehouse, located in the Vancouver Harbour, north end of Kamloops Street. Dates are: vol. 1 (Nov. 1919 - Aug. 1925); vol. 2 (July 1924 - Feb. 1926); vol. 3 (May 1924 - Feb. 1926). The manager of the Mill and Dock was K. A. McLellan. He corresponded primarily with: Robin Hood Mills head office in Minneapolis (as well as offices in Calgary and Moose Jaw); the International Milling Company, also in Minneapolis; Vancouver Harbour Commissioners; City Engineer's Office; E. J. Ryan Contracting Co. Ltd.; Armstrong, Morrison & Co. Limited Public Works Contractors; etc. All contents are pasted into three large scrapbooks (volume numbers have been assigned by Archives, each volume has stamped numbered pages).

They include aerial views of Vancouver and photographs of the Vancouver Museum and Planetarium, the Vancouver Aquarium, MacMillan Bloedel Conservatory, Pacific National Exhibition buildings and prize homes, petroleum and gas industry exhibits at the Pacific National Exhibition, scenes from Gastown, the Westcoast Energy building, and other buildings and scenes in Vancouver. Fonds also include photographs showing the construction of the Westcoast Transmission building at 1333 West Georgia Street, including the various stages of the building and construction work; as well as a promotional pamphlet for the building.

Fonds consists of 40 photographs, mainly of unidentified individuals who may have been related to Peggy Perfitt or who worked at Gault Brothers Ltd., a local textiles manufacturing and sales firm. Some of the photographs were taken on board an unidentified vessel, possibly the Prince George, and some were taken at English Bay. Two photographs show the fire at C.P.R. pier D on July 27, 1938, and two photographs are of the ship Prince George.

Most of the 58 projects represented within this fonds were undertaken by Barratt's own architectural firm.

The materials that comprise the Mon Alex Club of Vancouver fonds were not arranged in any particular order when they arrived at the Archives.
