File consists of Ted Taylor correspondence, programs, cards, receipts, and a photograph. File contains correspondence with L.D. Taylor, including a poem by L.D. and letters in which L.D. discusses his desire to run in the 1938 Vancouver mayoral election and his subsequent loss. File also includes a Los Angeles Newspaper Guild notice and cards from Sophie Tucker and Marge Decker.

The photograph shows L.D. Taylor smoking a cigar while reading an issue of The New Deal newspaper. A pen has been used to alter the newspaper's title to "A New Era." An inscription below the photograph reads: "British Columbia and Yukon Territory Ambassador at large (self appointed). Editor of this publication and manager of the proposed Information Bureaux , was Mayor of Vancouver B.C. for 11 years."

The file also contains "The New Deal" Vol. 1, Nos. 4 and 5 and newspaper articles concerning L.D.'s candidacy for mayor in 1936 and his birthday in 1937.

File consists of newspaper clipplings pertaining to the 1928 Lennie inquiry in which L.D. Taylor was implicated as mayor. File also contains a letter and two wires from L.D. to Ted Taylor in 1935 and 1936 and a letter from Ted to L.D. notifying him of the death of Caroline Little Pierce in 1936.

Professional correspondence includes correspondence relating to Taylor's work on the "Hollywood Reporter," and letters from Larry Blochman and Ted Le Berthon. Personal correspondence consists of letters to and from family and friends. File contains correspondence to and from L.D. Taylor and related notes and newspaper clippings. This includes a letter from L.D. describing his daily routine and the situation in Vancouver under the current mayor, correspondence from Ted to L.D. concerning Ted and Ken's visit to Vancouver, Ted's notes regarding L.D.'s family history and notable events in his life, and notes concerning Ted and Ken's activities during their visit to Vancouver. The file also contains records relating to Octavia Beaton's health, correspondence of Octavia, and a report card for Mary Taylor.
