The collections consists of posters advertising Theatre Under the Stars music performances at the Malkin Bowl, Stanley Park. Theatre Under the Stars was established by the Parks Board of the City of Vancouver in 1939 and closed in 1963. The posters were located in the interior and exterior of street cars and advertise productions of: “Timber”, “Waltz in Old Vienna”, “The Red Mill”, The Wizard of Oz”, “Finian’s Rainbow”, “Kiss Me Kate”, “Rose Marie”, “The Desert Song”, “Song of Norway”, “Carousel”, “The New Moon”, “Sweethearts”, “Brigadoon”, “Oklahoma”, “Anything Goes”, “Music in the Air”, “The Great Waltz”, “Annie Get Your Gun”, “Gentlemen Prefer Blondes”, “The Student Prince”, “The Pajama Game”, and “Kismet”.
