Series consists of a scrapbook relating to Ted Taylor's professional activities between 1918 and 1924, in particular to his positions as the News Director at Metro Pictures Corporation and a member of the Goldwyn Pictures publicity staff. Records include correspondence, photographs, articles, clippings, cards and other material.

File consists of loose pages containing correspondence, photographs, articles, clippings, cards and other material, arranged as a scrapbook. Material relates to Ted Taylor's professional activities between 1918 and 1924, in particular to his positions as the News Director at Metro Pictures Corporation and a member of the Goldwyn Pictures publicity staff. File contains many clippings of articles pertaining to Ted, as well as the formation of the Western Association of Motion Picture Advertisers (WAMPAS), Affiliated Picture Interests and Studio Publicists' Association, and Ted's involvement with these associations. The file also includes copies of Ted's "Metro News" articles and press releases, weekly timelines of events at Metro in 1919 and 1920, invitations to motion picture events, a list of studio publicity representatives in 1920, correspondence with publicists representing various studios, and material relating to "Rubaiyat" publicity and his resignation from Metro.

The file also includes correspondence between Ted and Louis Victor Eytinge and Alla Nazimova, and a letter from Stan Laurel. Some of Ted's correspondence concerns William Desmond Taylor, events occurring at the Goldwyn and Metro studios and in the Hollywood motion picture industry.

In addition to some photographs of Ted Taylor, members of the Metro publicity and L.A. Times staff, the file contains many photographs of Metro actors, actresses and sets, including several taken by Ted. Included are photographs of John H. Ince, Henry Otto, Emmy Whelen, Viola Dana, May Allison, John Arnold, Ormer Locklear, Alla Nazimova, Fred Malatesta, A.H. Giebler, Bessie Love, Herbert Blache, D.F. McSweeney, Thomas Meighan, Edwin Schneider, John McCormack, Bert Lytell, M.E. McLoughlin, Eileen Percy, Alson M. Wheeler, Winchell Smith, Alice Lake, Antonio Moreno, Bayard Veiller, Marcus Loew, Richard A. Roland, Irving Ackerman, Sam Harris, W.E. Atkinson, David Warfield, Sid Grauman, Vincente Blasco Ibanez, June Mathis, Eric Worthington, Carmel Myers, Isadore Bernstein, Hope Hampton, William J. Burns, a possible photograph of Louis Victor Eytinge and a photograph of a sketch by Rex Ingram.
The file also contains a photo of the WAMPAS Baby Stars of 1922, comprised of Pauline Starke, Maryon Aye, Jacqueline Logan, Claire Windsor, Colleen Moore, Lila Lee, Lois Wilson, Mary Philbin, Patsy Ruth Miller, Bessie Love, Louise Lorraine, Helen Ferguson, Kathryn McGuire. Also included in the file are photographs taken on the set of "The Microbe," "Fools and Their Money," "One-Thing-At-a-Time O'Day," "Please Get Married," "The Hope," and realting to
a showing of the movie "Alias Jimmy Valentine" at the Arizona State Prison.
