Minutes of meetings from the Vancouver International Airport Authority which includes attendees from the following organizations: Environment Canada, Transport Canada, City of Richmond, Fraser River Coalition, City of Vancouver, GVRD Strategic Planning and the Canadian Wildlife Service from 1992-1996. Extensive newspaper clippings regarding the proposed third runway, airport land-use, noise pollution and wildlife management in and around Vancouver International Airport. A variety of publications regarding the proposed expansion including: Transport Canada Information Releases, a GVRD Noise Survey, Environment Canada Bulletins, and Environmental Assessments both provincial and national.
Correspondence to and from the following: Minister of Environment Canada, Minister of Transportation, Office of the Mayor, Fraser River Coalition, Fisheries and Environment Canada, the Sierra Club, Greater Vancouver Citizen's Committee for Noise Abatement and the Ministry of International Business and Immigration as well as form letter.
The Community Forum on Airport Development also produced An Overview of the Contribution made by the Community Forum on Airport Development in Regards to the Proposed Expansion to the Federal Environmental Assessment and Review Panel.

Collection consists of information acquired by Adrien Mansvelt, the Consul General of the Netherlands stationed in Vancouver in the early 1970s. The records were largely collected on behalf of the City of Vancouver Archives in agreement with the City Archivist at the time, and therefore do not form a personal collection. The records relate to the ancestors of George Vancouver and his family connection to the van Coeverden family of the town of Coevorden in the Netherlands.

The collection consists of photographs, prints, magazine articles, pamphlets, maps and plans. Most of the material has been reproduced from various repositories in Europe.

[Page 8 is missing.] The Canadian Memorial Church, designed by the firm of Twizell and Twizell, was built in 1927-1928 at 1811 West 16th Avenue in memory of those who died in World War I.

Fonds consists of two copies of a 37 page autobiography, entitled "My father's boyhood in Vancouver," and relating to the early childhood and adolescent experiences of Ian C. Nicholson. Manuscript was written by Ian in 1970, at the age of 71, and covers the period 1905 to the end of World War I. Manuscript includes considerable detail on turn of the century life in Kitsilano point. Topics covered include his education experiences, playing on the Kitsilano Indian Reserve, fish canneries and fishing industry along the south shores of English Bay, and early Vancouver companies and landmarks. Manuscript also covers the business activities - primarily printing and a movie theatre - of his father James C. Nicholson.
