The film, produced most likely in the 1950s, documents the process by which consumer sugar products, such as granulated sugar, golden sugar, syrup, icing sugar, and sugar cubes, are made, starting from the growth and harvest of sugar cane and ending with the packaging of final products. The restaurant scenes were filmed at the Cock 'n' Bull restaurant in Vancouver (B.C.).
