A photocopy of a newspaper article included in this file indicates that the procession pictured in many of the negatives in the file may have been held as part of the funeral of Jung Jun Sow, publisher of the Chinese Times, grand master of the Chinese Freemasons, educator, chairman of the Jung Wing Sung Society, and a past chairman of the Chinese Benevolent Society.

Inalienable Rice anthology

File consists of drafts of scripts, interviews, essays, poems, and short fiction works considered for publication in Inalienable Rice: A Chinese and Japanese Canadian Anthology.

[Interviews with] Peter Chong, Village Chief, Louie Phillips, Lytton B.C.

Item is an audio cassette containing recordings of two interviews, a brief one with Peter Chong at the beginning of the tape, and the rest of the tape contains an interview with Louie Phillips about the history of the Chinese community and First Nations people in Lytton. Although some of the audio sounds as if it was recorded outdoors with wind and car noises in the background, the speaking is intelligible.

Lillian and Foon Wong at banquets and parties

File consists of photographs of Lillian and Foon Wong at celebratory gatherings such as a cocktail party held in 1951 that may have been hosted by the Wong Kong Har Tong or the Chinese Benevolent Association.

File consists of photographs of Lillian Wong and her adopted son Wilgene at their home at 814 Jackson Avenue and in a park-like setting when Wilgene was three years old; a photograph of Wilgene and Lillian at a picnic in the early 1940s; and a photograph of Wilgene in military uniform with Lillian in the 1940s.

Lillian Ho Wong's photo album : ca. 1918 - ca.1920

File consists of a album containing photographs taken in and around Vancouver and Seattle, Washington. Some of the subjects of the photos in the album are arches erected in downtown Vancouver for the visit of the Prince of Wales in 1919, young people singing at a piano, and Capilano Gardens. The album also includes photographs of Lillian Ho Wong working in a millinery shop, frequenting Stanley Park with friends, and posing on a beach and at the steps of the Vancouver Courthouse wearing an elaborate hat and dress.

File consists of photographs of Lillian Ho Wong and friends at various events in Vancouver and elsewhere, such as senior citizens' group outings, a trip to the U.S.A (Disneyland, Universal Studios, San Francisco) and a 1983 ribbon-cutting ceremony for a new room at a community centre in Vancouver.

Parade for 1939 royal visit

File consists of a photograph of two Chinese-Canadian girls dressed in costume for the visit of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth, to Victoria, B.C., and a photograph of a Chinese-Canadian organization's float in a parade for the royal visit.
