File is a scrapbook given to L.D. Taylor by Ted and Ken Taylor, consisting of newspaper clippings documenting L.D.'s activities, political cartoons (clipped and original), correspondence, ephemera, and photographs. Material was accumulated by L.D. Taylor and is both glued into the book and filed loosely between pages. Includes the first issue of The New Deal (March 26, 1937), a photograph album titled "No. 2163 Monroe St." containing eight photographs (CVA 1477-411) and one loose photograph (CVA 1477-412).

File includes Octavia Beaton and Ken Taylor correspondence and Ted Taylor's personal and professional correspondence and notes. Correspondence includes letters to and from L.D. Taylor and George J. Fowler concerning L.D.'s illness and family activities. The file also contains articles by and pertaining to Ted, newspaper clippings relating to Ken's job with the Radio News Service, an obituary for Kate Cooley Taylor, and eight negatives and four prints of Mary Louise Taylor and Octavia Beaton at the beach. Also included in the file are cards and greetings from Bill Pine, Colleen Moore and Natalie Moorhead.

File consists of correspondence, notes, financial records, four photographs, lists, address book pages, newspaper clippings, articles, a script and other material relating mainly to the personal and professional activities of Ted Taylor. Personal correspondents of Ted include Ruth Wing, Annie Louise Taylor and various friends. Professional correspondence relates to his positions in the Publicity Department of Goldwyn picturess and as Motion Picture Editor at the L.A. Record, and includes correspondence with colleagues at various Hollywood studios and publications. Includes letters from Ferdinand Earle pertaining to his intention to produce a screen version of "Faust" and Mary Pickford's intention to do the same, as well as letters concerning his dealings with David O. Selznick. The file also contains records relating to Ted's dismissal as the editor of "CAMERA!"; clippings of articles by or pertaining to Ted Taylor; and clippings, correspondence and other material relating to Ted's assignment by Goldwyn to be on location for Eric von Stroheim's production of "McTeague." Also included in the file are three photographs of Ruth and one photograph of Ted, Ted's notes relating to his marriage to Ruth and her activities, and a script by Ruth Kenyon.

File also contains Mary Louise Taylor correspondence and correspondence with Ken Taylor and L.D. Taylor, which includes several letters from L.D. and attached newspaper clippings. Ted Taylor outgoing correspondence discusses family activities, his career, including work with the War Labor Board, and the Hollywood strike. File also contains a draft review of a Leonard Louis Levinson production and related correspondence. Other records within this file relate to Ted's association with the Central Labor Council, the Los Angeles Newspaper Guild and the Screen Publicists Guild. File also contains a photograph in a Christmas card of Edith and Arthur Baker. Objects in this file are badges from Ken Taylor's military uniform, a Nazi badge and a yellow Star of David badge bearing the German word 'Jude'.
