The collection consists of a letter dated 2 October 1794, which was written by Vancouver while on board the "Discovery" in Nootka Sound. It was addressed to the father of a midshipman in the crew. The letter deals with business matters, but Vancouver also notes that they were unable to find any northwest passage and therefore they had no reason to remain in the area.

The collection consists of Major-General R.G.E. Leckie's orders for the district for 1917. M.D. No. 11, comprising all of B.C., was created by Militia General Order dated 16 October 1871. The supervision of the militia and the defence of the province has been carried out within the framework of M.D. No. 11 since that time.

Sweeny, Campbell
The fonds consists primarily of records documenting the operation of the Camp Deka boys' camp from 1961-1976. Records reflect the major functions and activities involved in running the camp, including program planning and delivery, management of staff and campers, internal and external communications, and financial management. Fonds also includes records documenting the partnership's, and, later, proprietorship's management of the Camp Deka site from its purchase in 1958 to its sale in 1989. Types of documentation include correspondence, financial ledgers and statements, contracts, photographs, logs, evaluation forms, and form letters. Due to the close-knit relationship between Camp Deka and Deka Camp Limited, the company through which May and Lorne Brown operated Camp Deka from 1965-1976, a small number of Deka Camp Limited records are present in the fonds.

British Columbia Loggers' Association, Inc. collection
The material is the declaration of the two associations announcing the presentation of a canoe to the City in March 1943. Jericho Charlie, a Squamish Native Indian, freighted camp supplies to Jerry Rogers, a logger on the Point Grey peninsula in the late 1800s. The supplies were brought from Vancouver across English Bay in a canoe called "Houmiltichesen". This canoe was purchased by the British Columbia Loggers' Association and the Consolidated Red Cedar Shingle Association of British Columbia from August Jack, a stepson of Jericho Charlie, about 1943.
