The land involved was D.L. 301, block 80, lots 16 and 17, located at the junction of New Westminster Road (now Kingsway), St. Catherine's Street and 18th Avenue.

The genealogy traces members of the McPhater family from ca. 1780. The McPhaters, who emigrated to Canada, changed their name to Patton. Donald Patton owned a ships chandlery in Vancouver around 1890. There are other descendants in the Vancouver area. Ronald Reagan also is included in the genealogy.
