The importance of electrical power and the various uses that the power is necessary for. Andre talks about the yaks and logistics involved in using and budgeting for yaks and negotiating with locals. He also talks about difficulties in dealing with the Chinese liaison officer and the budget in general. Andre also talks about dealing through the CMA [Chinese Mountaineering Association?]. John talks about his symptoms and how he dealt with suffering from some initial symptoms of high altitude pulmonary edema. Also includes wild sound for camera role 46 and 44 or 45. Includes sounds of crampons on ice, ice picks, other tools going into the ice and the sound of clipping carabineers on to ropes, and ambient outdoor sounds of a wheat field and airport.

Includes an interview talking about a phone call that happened between Dennis and some school children at a school in Fort St. James, British Columbia, Canada. The call occurred while the team members were on the mountain climbing during a storm. From north col. Sept. 22, 1991. A group meeting and assessment of progress and plans and the fact that a summit bid may be out of the question due to severe weather conditions. Some wild sound of wind and tents.

George Maddams discusses growing up in Vancouver; father taking up property at False Creek, 1880s, and speculating in in land, 1908; family interest in music; played clarinet and later saxophone; attended Mount Pleasant School, 1903, and Alexandra School, 1908; joined musicians union, 1910; played in Vancouver theatres and on CNR ships sailing up the coast to Alaska and across the Pacific. Details of his career playing on the ships "Prince Rupert", "Southern Cross", "Princess Louise" and "Empress of Canada" during the years 1926-1939.
