Item is raw sound for the documentary "Everest - Climb for Hope." Includes Alan talking about the problems encountered with generators. Some goofing around talking in accents from Eastern Canada. The importance of electrical power and the various uses that the power is necessary for. Andre talks about the yaks and logistics involved in using and budgeting for yaks and negotiating with locals. He also talks about difficulties in dealing with the Chinese liaison officer and the budget in general. Andre also talks about dealing through the CMA [Chinese Mountaineering Association?]. John talks about his symptoms and how he dealt with suffering from some initial symptoms of high altitude pulmonary edema. Also includes wild sound for camera role 46 and 44 or 45. Includes sounds of crampons on ice, ice picks, other tools going into the ice and the sound of clipping carabineers on to ropes, and ambient outdoor sounds of a wheat field and airport.

Includes an interview talking about a phone call that happened between Dennis and some school children at a school in Fort St. James, British Columbia, Canada. The call occurred while the team members were on the mountain climbing during a storm. From north col. Sept. 22, 1991. A group meeting and assessment of progress and plans and the fact that a summit bid may be out of the question due to severe weather conditions. Some wild sound of wind and tents.

Item is an audio recording of an interview with Mark [Kerr] at the end of the expedition; he talks about the successes and failures of the expedition, and how the mountain gave him a new outlook on life. Also includes an interview with Mario, Dennis and John, also at the close of the expedition about their experiences and feelings about it.

Item part is a recording of Steve Rosell, who served as special assistant to Canadian politician Robert Andras from 1970 to 1972, as he responds to written questions about the Strathcona Property Owners and Tenants Association, urban planning, policies, and the surrounding politics. The opening of the tape contains clips from "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown" (Clark Gesner); Steve Rosell begins addressing questions at the 6 min., 25 sec. mark as classical music plays in the background. After Rosell finishes with the questions, the song "The 59th Street Bridge Song (Feelin' Groovy)" (Simon & Garfunkel) plays. From the 37 min., 57 sec. mark to the end of the tape is silent.

The recording is of an acoustic set including electric, acoustic, and a capella instrumentation. The song list includes Rivers of Babylon (The Melodians), Superstar, Ridgerunner, Talk to Yourself, and Moon Reflects the Sun. Applause, song commentary, and stage banter are also audible. From 35:45, the songs Party of Special Things to Do, Same Old Blues, and Observatory Crest from Captain Beefheart's "Bluejeans & Moonbeams" is recorded. Ends abruptly at end of tape.
