Item was created from the "Economic Development" (1992) 16mm, colour, raw footage (90 minutes); footage of the electronic and aerospace industry around Vancouver. From this and other footage from Yaletown Productions, two programs were edited for the Province of British Columbia, Ministry of Economic Development, Small Business and Trade. Film has a music soundtrack and has captions throughout.

Item is the original. "Expo 86 PSA No. 1" [Public service announcement] produced by Yaletown Productions for the Government of Canada External Affairs Department. Film has four thirty second commericals advertising Expo 86. The commercials feature footage of Vancouver and British Columbia highlighting the city, nature, tourist activities and the Expo site.

This item consists of video transfers of film footage shot at Expo 86. The raw footage was transferred to video and edited on tape into a finished production. According to the donor this is the original of the final production with sound and image combined. "Vancouver - Focus on Expo 86" was released August 1986 as a video postcard. Item is an unedited recording of a CBC television talk show pilot which features discussions with influential British Columbians, hosted by Charmaine Crooks. The first guest, artist George Littlechild, speaks about the artist's role in society; his past in foster homes and racism he experienced; his search for his own cultural identity; his Scottish and Plains Cree background; his art and inspirations; his spirituality; and his role models. The second guest, community activist and affordable housing advocate/developer Jim Green, speaks about his position as Community Development Co-ordinator for the Ministry of Employment and Investment and political positions as a means to an end; his upbringing in the southern United States; his efforts to prevent evictions in Vancouver's east end prior to the 1986 Expo; his run for mayor, and his accomplishments and vision for the future. The remainder of the tape captures Charmaine Crooks rehearsing and/or discarded takes, introduction and exit takes eventually used in the edited show, and voiceovers for video profiles.
