Chinese Students' Athletic Association [photograph album]

File consists of individual pages, with photographs of the Chinese Students' Athletic Association's junior and senior soccer teams attached, originally bound together in an album. Includes group and individual photographs of team members, matches against the Malkins, B.C. Telephone, Scouts, Edith Cavell School, South Vancouver, Kerrisdale and Sapperton, and a match for the 1925 Tim Mahoney Cup.

[Album: Yip Sang funeral]

Album consists of twenty-five photographs of Yip Sang's funeral in 1927, including photographs of the church, funeral procession and graveside service, as well as a head and shoulders portrait of Yip Sang, circa 1920.

Staff Christmas party : Trader Vic's

File consists of photographs of a staff Christmas party at the Bayshore's Trader Vic's restaurant. Includes group shots taken at various tables, and photographs of guests with Santa Claus. There appears to be some duplication between the negatives and the photographs.

Family

File consists of negatives showing Paul Yee and his aunt Lillian Ho Wong inside an apartment or house, presumably Wong's; one of the photographs is of a small child.

Frank Wong and Paul Yee

File consists of a negatives. The images include two photographs of Frank Wong, a former member of Chinese Soccer Team, at Cathay Seniors Home; two photographs of Paul Yee with students at Hastings Elementary School in Vancouver; and two self-portraits of Yee.

Chevron Stage miscellaneous photos 1986

File consists of thirty-four prints and 109 negative strips with a total of 339 images. Includes photographs of various events and performances by singing and dance groups using the Chevron Presents Stage, including the YMCA 100th anniversary party, children's events, anniversary of the Vancouver Health Department Volunteer Programs, Beaux Gestes '86, Party in the Park event at Kensington Park, Chinese New Year celebrations in Chinatown, stage, canopy and tent set up at Stanley Park for April 6th Centennial event, and the April 6th party at Stanley Park.

Photograph album : Parade of Oriental Fashions, 18th Convention of the Canadian Food Processors Association and Year of the Serpent banquet

Item is an album containing photographs of the Parade of Oriental Fashions event at the 18th convention of the Canadian Food Processors Association as well as a program for the convention. The parade took place on January 22, 1965 in the Mai Tai Room of the Bayshore Inn. Photographs show female models wearing Asian dress, a fashion show and attendees.

The album also includes photographs of the Year of the Serpent Chinese New Year Festival Banquet held at the W.K. Gardens on February 26, 1965. The banquet was held in conjunction with the Spring Carnival Committee, and was sponsored by the Junior Chamber of Commerce, the Vancouver Visitors Bureau and the Chinese community. Included are photographs of various Vancouver pageant queens, Miss San Francisco Chinatown, Miss Chinatown USA first princess, and the crowning of a young woman with a serpent headdress and crown.

Notes at the back of the album list orders received for copies and provide some identification of those individuals appearing in the photographs.

Images borrowed from the Chinese Benevolent Association

A photocopy of a newspaper article included in this file indicates that the procession pictured in many of the negatives in the file may have been held as part of the funeral of Jung Jun Sow, publisher of the Chinese Times, grand master of the Chinese Freemasons, educator, chairman of the Jung Wing Sung Society, and a past chairman of the Chinese Benevolent Society.

File consists of slides, originally arranged in slide sheets and a binder, depicting activities and events organized by the Vancouver Centennial Commission. April 6th events and activities depicted include the arrival of Governor General Jeanne Sauve at the train station; the birthday celebration at Brockton Point, Stanley Park, including the cutting of the birthday cake; re-dedication of the fountain at Lost Lagoon; fireworks; and a formal dinner.
Individuals depicted in the slides include Mayor Michael Harcourt, Governor General Jeanne Sauve, Toni Onley, Vancouver Centennial Committee Chairman Michael Francis and Centennial Committee members.
