Includes footage of the Sky Hawks demonstration team, shot from the ground, of the Sky hawks performing sky diving and parachuting tricks, and landing, as well as airplanes flying, and the smoke and flag marking the drop zone. Includes footage shot by a fellow sky diver of men in green camouflage military uniforms parachuting. There are also shots taken using a fish-eye lense of men doing practice parachute jumps from a tower using wires. The fish-eye lense is also used in some sky diving and parachuting shots - the camera is attached to the mid-section of a Sky hawk member rather than to a helmet. Includes some footage of the Sky hawks performing taken by another sky diver, not using a fish-eye lense. Transfered from original camera source tapes 9 and 10A. Silent.

Those magnificent snowbirds - The first 20 years

Item is a copy of "Canada's magnificent snowbirds - 20th Anniversary" one hour television network documentary featuring Canada's aerobatic team, the Snowbirds. The documentary begins with an overall set up of a child wanting to grow up to be a Snowbird pilot. The story of the Snowbirds begins with try outs for four new Snowbirds pilots and moves on to the history of aerobatic flight teams in Canada. Using a mix of narration, interviews and historical footage the history of the Snowbirds is laid out and then the narration moves into practice, training and the designing of the new airshow routine for the 1991, 20th Anniversary, season. Leaving the training base in Moose Jaw, S.K. the Snowbirds team travels to Comox, B.C. for an airshow. The documentary continues with an overview of the role of the Snowbirds and their goals on their public relations and air show role. Themes touch on why the Snowbirds have lasted as long as they have and why they will continue on into the future. In addition to shots of crowds and performances two airshow promoters from the USA are interviewed. Back in Moose Jaw at the end of the 1991 season there is a reunion of alumni pilots. The documentary ends with a final performance of the 20th season and a child on a beach inspired to someday be a Snowbird pilot. Narrated by Leslie Neilsen. Cassette version edited from D-2. This is the superless cassette version - no blacks or bumpers.

Philp, affectionately known as 'Obie', who was responsible for starting the Snowbirds demonstration team, He talks about traveling with the [Golden] Centennaires in 1967 and how the Snowbirds got started.

Item is promotional material for the television series "Weird Wheels" (2000). This was produced by Yaletown Entertainment as a promotional material for Life Network. The series was produced and 39 episodes completed and aired across North America. Video starts and ends with Weird Wheels animation. The cars featured include a wrought iron bug, a mobile phone (a mash up between a Chevy truck and phone booth), a hurse covered in buttons, a car for god when he comes to earth, a guitar motorcycle, and a shoe bicycle. The promotional short also visits an art car parade in San Francisco, CA.

Item is promotional material for "Belize - Rain Forest Expedition" (1995). This was a pilot for a television series for Discovery Channel. The series did not proceed. The video introduces Belize with shots of locals, then follows a group of scientists and archeologists into the Belize rainforest where they observe wildlife and discover Mayan ruins. Information about Belize, to supplement the narration, is interspersed at the bottom of the screen.
