The album consists of photographs taken by photographers C.P. Detloff and William Shelly of the Royal Visit Photo Pool and compiled into an album by J.S. Matthews and bound by W.A. Roedde. The photographs cover the entire visit from May 29 to 31, 1939. In addition there are copy prints from the Major Matthews' photograph collection (K & Q P1 to K & Q P9), photographic copies of tributes from the City of Vancouver and the Province of B.C. and addresses from Premier T.D. Patullo and King George VI.
