150th anniversary of the establishment of Canada's western boundary

Series relates to the efforts of a committee, set up in Vancouver by the Ukrainian community and chaired by Michael Huculak, in commemorating the 150th anniversary of the establishment of Canada's western boundary. Series includes notes, school lesson proposals, treaty reproductions and photographs of persons signing treaties and views of Alaska and British Columbia in the early 19th century.

British Columbia and Ukrainian research documents

Series consists of memoirs, correspondence, narratives and new clippings gathered by Huculak for the writing of the book, Ukrainians in British Columbia and Their Contribution to the Cultural Life of the Province. Series reflects the history, lifestyle, origins and contributions of the early Ukrainian settlers in British Columbia. Series also includes an English translation of this book. Series is arranged by locations and by individuals' names.

The fonds consists of research notes and correspondence relating to the publication, When Russia Was in America, 1965-1975; biographies, memoirs and correspondence regarding the 50th Anniversary Committee (participants in the November 1, 1918 resurgence in the Western Ukraine); correspondence regarding Ukrainian folk art exhibit in Vancouver and donations to Museums, 1968-1970; family correspondence, memoirs and correspondence regarding British Columbia and Ukrainians. Also included is a manuscript "Ukrainians in British Columbia and their Contribution to the Cultural Life of the Province" translation, 1984.

Series consists of Huculak's personal correspondence, biographical information and, correspondence between Huculak and other Ukrainian associations on the promotion of Ukrainian culture in Canada. Series also includes speeches, reports, memoirs, program brochures of various Ukrainian associations, and clippings from various Canadian Ukrainian newspapers.
