British Columbia Underwriters' Association fonds
Fonds consists of operational records of the Association and reference material.
The records include reports on municipal fire prevention in Vancouver and Point Grey, drawings and sketches of building details used in assembling fire insurance plans produced by the B.C. Underwriters' Association, and fire insurance plans for specific sites in Vancouver.

The file also includes a list of insurance plans published by the national underwriters' association.
Insurance plan reference sheets
File consists of pencil and ink on tracing paper and paper fire insurance plans for the following sites: Anthes Tait Foundry Ltd., Nanaimo at East Twenty-sixth Avenue; Burrard Amusement Ltd. [Playland], Hastings at Windermere Street (1958), Housing Enterprises of Canada Ltd. at Slocan Street; Jericho Beach [Department of National Defence]; Shaughnessy Golf Club (1938); Sick's Capilano Brewery Ltd., Burrard Street (1952, revised 1959); Vancouver Breweries Ltd., Vine Street at Twelfth Avenue (1948, revised 1954); and Vancouver Steel Co. Ltd., formerly British Columbia Tube Works Ltd., Alpha Ave., Burnaby (1946, revised 1948).
Municipal fire fighting capacity reports
File consists of originals and photocopies of reports created by the Mainland Fire Underwriters Association of British Columbia, and the British Columbia Underwriters' Association regarding fire-fighting and fire suppression capacity and capabilities in the cities of Vancouver and Point Grey.
