Adrian Alexandria de Vander Vogue photographs

Sub-series consists of sixteen photograph albums showing the life of Robert Pogue and his career as drag queen Adrian Alexandria de Vander Vogue. A note written by Ron Dutton in October 2011 was enclosed in the box with the photographs: "Photographic albums of Robert Pogue's career as female impersonator Alexandria de Vander Vogue. 16 photographic albums covering his teenage years in 1960's Hamilton, Ont. to his death in 1992 Vancouver. Donated to the G+L Archives by Sandy Lambert [on] Oct. 20, 2011, who inherited the albums. Condition: albums were disorganized; some photos had adhered to album pages, others had come loose; spiral bindings beginning to rust; album covers and pages deteriorating. Where possible photos were dated from existing archives sources and persons identified. Albums were placed in general chronological order and numbered 1-16. Photographs were detached from pages and labelled with album number, page number, and photo position on the page. A few photos were discarded where they were highly damaged."
