City of Vancouver : Canadian Pacific town site

Part contains four maps. The main map shows district lots and block numbers in Vancouver from Vine Street in the west to Boundary Avenue (Glen Drive) in the east and Stanley Park in the north to 9th Avenue (Broadway) in the south. Three smaller maps include an index plan to district lots in Vancouver, South Vancouver, New Westminster, and Burnaby; a world map showing Canadian Pacific mail steamship lines; and an index plan of Vancouver city limits. Part has been annotated with text describing a June 1888 land clearance plan and hand colouring indicating clearance status.

Beautiful Stanley Park

Item is a brochure for tourists on Stanley park. The front sheet of the unfolded pamphlet includes text on attractions, as well as photographs of the park, petting zoo, monuments, trails and gardens, and Malkin Bowl. The reverse of the sheet contains a map of the park, showing roads, trails, geographical features and attractions.

Commercial map of Greater Vancouver and district

Item is a map sheet containing two maps. The principal map depicts greater Vancouver, including portions of North and West Vancouver, Richmond and Surrey. The information depicted on the map includes streets, postal blocks, streetcar and railway lines, parks and golf courses, and schools. The map includes 1/2 mile distance circles centred on old City Hall at Main and Hastings.

The sheet includes an inset map of Granville Island. Depth of water given along shorelines of Burrard Inlet, English Bay, and along the West Vancouver coast from First Narrows to Howe Sound. The sheet includes an index of streets.

British Columbia. Port Moody

Item is a map showing subdivisions of townships in Coquitlam, Port Moody, Pitt Meadows, Surrey, Langley, Sumas, Sardis and Chilliwack. The west coast of British Columbia from Burrard Inlet to the Sechelt peninsula is shown as well as Vancouver Island and the surrounding Gulf Islands. Trails, post offices and railway stations are included.

Item is an illustrated map is of the province of British Columbia, created to commemorate the Canadian Centennial.

The central component of the sheet is a reproduction of part of a map from the Department of Lands; surrounding the map are illustrations depicting prominent historical figures and accompanying information. The map has been annotated with the routes of Captain Cook's voyage (1778-1779), Captain Vancouver's voyage (1792-1794), and the overland routes of Sir Alexander MacKenzie (1793), David Thompson (1806-1811) and Simon Fraser (1808).

Portraits, accompanied by short biographies, are included for Cook, Vancouver, MacKenzie, Fraser and Sir James Douglas. Six other portraits are of the early governors of the colony of Vancouver Island and of British Columbia between 1849 and 1876. An illustration of the Great Seal of the Realm attached to the royal commission appointing Richard Blanshard the first governor of the colony of Vancouver Island is shown. A short textual description of the birth and expansion of British Columbia is included with an accompanying illustration of the expansion of the province over time.

Vancouver, British Columbia : northerly portion, former City of Vancouver : major street plan

Item is a map which has been removed from a copy of the report "A plan for the City of Vancouver, British Columbia, including Point Grey and South Vancouver and a general plan of the region", commissioned by the Vancouver Town Planning Commission from the planning consultants Harland Bartholomew & Associates.

The map shows the existing and proposed revisions to the major street plan in the northern portion of Vancouver. The map also shows present street widths, lines of vehicles and roadway widths versus proposed street widths, lines of vehicles and roadway widths.
