Item is a documentary film documenting Home gas stations in the Lower Mainland in the 1930s. The film contains footage primarily of the building structures, however, the occasional glimpses of a vehicle, person and landscape can be seen as well. Specifically, this film documents National Service Station (1695 Main St.), Crescent Motors (263 East 7th Ave.), Southill Motors (2704 Kingsway), Carleton Service Station (Joyce and Kingsway, City), Joyce Road Garage (4905 Joyce Rd., City), Central Park Garage (4651 Kingsway, Burnaby), Pacific Avenue Garage (4495 Kingsway, New Westminster), Rose Auto Camp (4166 Kingsway, Burnaby), Burnaby Tourist Lodge (4050 Kingsway, New Westminster), Jubilee Garage (3600 Nelson St., Burnaby), Hollywood Service Station (2674 Kingsway, New Westminster), Kingsway and Dublin Service (Kingsway and Dublin, New Westminster), Morrison s Garage (1102 Kingsway, New Westminster), Brandon Auto Livery (512 W.Georgia St.), and Holland Service Station (125 Robson St.).
