History
The Garden Club of Vancouver was incorporated on September 18, 1961 with the objectives of stimulating a knowledge and appreciation of gardening among amateurs, encouraging civic planting in public areas, and promoting the preservation of parklands and open spaces. The Garden Club works closely with the UBC and VanDusen Botanical Gardens on various projects, and has participated in activities for Meals-on-Wheels, Ronald McDonald House, low income housing projects, and nursing homes. The Garden Club is managed by a Board of Directors consisting of Executive Officers, the Past President, and Chairs of Standing and Special Committees.
