Government to commemorate the centenary of the union of Vancouver Island and the Mainland to form the province of B.C. in 1866. The fountain sculptured from Italian marble is situated in front of the Courthouse in downtown Vancouver. Height of water flow is electronically controlled by a wind regulator."
