Biographical history

George Halford Wilson became Rector of St. Michael's Anglican Church in 1903 after being ordained in Calgary, Alberta and having worked in Banff as a Missioner. He was the father of David Halford Wilson.

Series consists of personal papers and church records mainly gathered by George Halford Wilson when he was the rector of St. Michael's Anglican Church in 1903. Church records include financial statements, parochial statistics, correspondence, articles, church publications, reports, notes and texts of sermons relating to the administration, major developments, services, history, preaching and Bible education programs, and religious studies of St. Michael's Anglican Church. Church records also include records of St. Thomas' and St. Andrew's Church. Personal records include notes, correspondence, bills, scrapbooks and article about a wide range of George Halford Wilson's personal matters.
