History

The Associated Boards of Trade of British Columbia was created in 1920 and brought together many Boards of Trade situated in various towns and cities in the province. In 1941 the Council of Associated Boards of Trade of British Columbia was formed, and a constitution drafted in 1948. In 1951, the Council changed its name to the British Columbia Chamber of Commerce and enlarged its representation.
