Barber worked as a mechanical engineer. He was the brother of Horace Greeley Barber, a civil engineer in Vancouver.

Immediate source of acquisition

Films were donated by Colette Roy in 2012. They were dropped off at CBC Victoria by Ms. Roy and sent to Colin Preston at CBC Vancouver, who brought them to the City of Vancouver Archives in June 2012.
