The Ancient Order of United Workmen was a fraternal organization that provided insurance for its members. The first Canadian lodge was founded in 1879.

The fonds consists of a letterbook of Granville Lodge No. 29. Most of the correspondence deals with payment of dues and insurance claims involving Lodge 29 and the Grand Recorder in the Lodge at Portland, Oregon.
