Item contains raw footage shot for the documentary, "Everest - Climb for Hope." Video includes shots of traveling with pack animals, Sherpas playing a dice game, the Everest - Climb for Hope team at a planning meeting, some individual team member interviews, Tim's injured knee, Yaks carrying Tim and supplies out of the camp, the team at camp four, planning the moving of oxygen to the next camp, Everest views, the debris of an avalanche, shots of exhausted team members climbing down, and a farm village and villagers on the way down the mountain.

Item is an amateur film from Douglas Scott's time living in Hong Kong which captures scenes of downtown and rural Hong Kong, including the Duke of Connaught statue; rickshaws and cars in Hong Kong streets; locals on sampans and docks shaving, cooking, and eating; the countryside, including railways, workers, and rice fields; people walking down Hong Kong streets; sampans pushed along with poles and men paddling boats; street vendors; locals washing clothes, fishing; and people playing in the water.

Item is an amateur film from Douglas Scott's time living in Hong Kong which captures an automobile being loaded off of a boat by a large pulley; the Scott family enjoying a picnic; a local labourer carrying large bundles of rice and workers harvesting rice; the Scott family approaching wrought iron gates; a pig standing in an alley and running in the sun; a Hong Kong resident smiling for the camera; and Margaret smiling for the camera with her mother and father.

Minnekhada Ranch

Item is an amateur film documenting Mrs. E. W. Hamber with 8 guests horseback riding over obstacle course in the forest of the Hamber Minnekhada ranch in Coquitlam. Some of the guests posing full front on camera alongside Mrs. Hamber are Garleigh and Marjorie Greenwood, and Mayor L. B. Taylor. The film also shows footage of various farm animals, such as foals in a corral, sheep and fowl.

Item is an educational film about the beet sugar industry in Alberta. It includes an animation illustrating the growth of sugar beets. The film follows the full year cycle of researching and preparing for, planting, harvesting and processing sugar beets.

Sunshine to sugar : The story of beet sugar

Item is an industrial film presented by the Canadian Sugar Factories Company. The film documents the agricultural process of beet plantation and sugar beet extraction and manufacturing processes. Locations appear to be at farms in BC, and at a sugar factory in Alberta. Individuals involved include: Rod Parkhurst (camera), Rick Allen (lighting), Lou Williams (lighting), Paul Abram (grip), A.L. Lazenby (script), Al Jordan (narration), Tom Ashdown (animation) and Lloyd Strump (producer/director). Original reel also contains 59 seconds of "Summer sunshine for winter menus" at beginning of reel.

This is Manitoba Sugar

Item is an industrial film produced for the Manitoba Beet Growers Association and the Manitoba Sugar Company Limited. The film documents the sugar beet farming process in Manitoba, its harvest, transport, sugar processing and manufacturing. Focus is given to farming technology, the various extraction stages in the sugar factory, and the many uses for sugar in diets and the food industry. Photography by M.J. Sym and D. Campbell.

Yaletown Everest 13

Item is original camera tape footage taken for the "Everest - Climb for hope" documentary. Ambient noise. Video contains footage of a fire built to burn garbage and the team's trip to [out of] base camp. On the way the truck gets stuck and is dug out; the truck also stops and the team interacts with some local farmers.
