Biographical history

Harry Abbott was born June 14, 1829, at Abbottsford, Quebec, son of the Reverend Joseph Abbott. He was the general superintendent of the Canadian Pacific Railway in British Columbia.

The series consists of an Abbott family photograph album showing various scenes pertaining to the Canadian Pacific Railway and its official events, various British Columbia scenes and Vancouver streetscapes; and an album prepared by Edwards Brothers showing scenes around British Columbia, primarily views of Vancouver, Rossland and Sandon.
