History

Percy Underwood was an architect practicing in Vancouver in the middle years of the 20th century.

Underwood was born Nov. 2, 1894 in England. He appears in the Vancouver city directories for the first time in 1925, where he is listed as a draftsman at the architectural firm McCarter & Nairne. He remained there until 1937, though in the 1936 directory he is listed as an architect at the firm. In 1937 he established his own architectural practice; in 1955, he entered into a partnership with Kenneth W. McKinley and Stewart M. Cameron to form the practice Underwood, McKinley, Cameron. Other partners were added to the firm through the 1960s, and Underwood appears to have remained with the firm until his retirement.
