The fonds consists of the papers and artworks of James Blomfield, as well as extensive research notes and other papers relating to him; the papers and artworks of Edgar Bloomfield, which include some information relating to the Interior Land Syndicate and the Canada Power Generating Machine Co. Ltd.; records of Joan Bloomfield, including her recollections of her childhood and family life, as well as extensive papers on her work during World War II, and files relating to her postwar search for employment and career, including work on the Kemano project. The fonds also contains extensive research records on James Blomfield compiled by Doris Munroe. The fonds also contains lantern slides depicting family events, Bloomfield at work, and examples of stained glass. File consists of photocopies of 3 photographs: one of James Blomfield at Frenchman's Creek, Fort Erie, one of Ida Schneider at Orillia and one of Edgar Bloomfield at Victoria.

Books

Series consists of five monographs owned by Bloomfield [Blomfield] family members, including "A Book of Loyalist Verse" by Mary Diamond Blomfield, wife of James Blomfield, and "An old Roman city: a memorial of the martyrs" by Charles Bloomfield.

Charles Bloomfield glass lantern slides

File consists of 25 lantern slides taken primarily by Charles Bloomfield. Slides show Charles Bloomfield and James Blomfield at work in the studio of Henry Bloomfield and Sons and some of the studio's completed stained glass works. Also included are photographs of Stanley Park, groups of people, Pt. Atkinson lighthouse, a sailboat, a bridge and river and a streetcar. A reproduction of a puzzle contest in the Daily Province, 1904 [reproduced 190-?] is also included.

Clippings

Subseries consists of newspaper and magazine clippings of articles about James Blomfield and his works of art. Also includes a scrapbook showcasing Blomfield's illustrations for the Boston-based publication, "Christian Science Monitor".

Correspondence

Subseries consists mainly of correspondence between James Blomfield and Ida Schneider. Also includes some general correspondence.
