Scope and content
Item is raw footage shot for a one hour television network documentary featuring Canada's military parachute team, the Sky hawks. Includes footage of the Sky Hawks demonstration team, shot from the ground, of the Sky hawks performing sky diving and parachuting tricks, and landing, as well as airplanes flying, and the smoke and flag marking the drop zone. Includes footage shot by a fellow sky diver of men in green camouflage military uniforms parachuting. There are also shots taken using a fish-eye lense of men doing practice parachute jumps from a tower using wires. The fish-eye lense is also used in some sky diving and parachuting shots - the camera is attached to the mid-section of a Sky hawk member rather than to a helmet. Includes some footage of the Sky hawks performing taken by another sky diver, not using a fish-eye lense. Transfered from original camera source tapes 9 and 10A. Silent.
