Administrative history
The British Columbia Professional Gardeners' Association was established in Vancouver in the 1920s. The organization brought together people employed in the field of gardening. The association sponsored social events and organized exhibits for the Pacific National Exhibition. In the 1950s the group sponsored courses in gardening and worked to establish a standard of education for employment in the field.

Scope and content
The fonds consists of four minute books, 1936-1941 and 1950-1970 and three cash books, 1938-1963. The minutes record annual and monthly general meetings, as well as executive meetings. Descriptions of the lectures cover a wide range of subjects, mostly natural history.
